Get to know the world of Snobe, the new Belgian fashion House focusing on leather perfectos. Melissa Deffense and Paris Malungu form a duo of fashion designers who were obsessed with leather when they launched Snobe. They take inspiration from women who are icons of femininity and fashion. Those include Anna Piaggi. The woman was Vogue Italy’s editor-in-chief but unfortunately died in 2012. She leaves to the fashion world the memory of her amazing and extravagant outfits. Snobe’s designers decided to dedicate to her a leather and leopard satin jacket. They also designed a perfecto dedicated to Parisian businesswoman and illustrator Garance Doré. Her sense of style, her sensuality and her minimalism inspired Melissa and Paris, and feeds their imagination. The designers are based in Brussels, a city inside which they travel a lot, with the subway mostly. They meet a lot of different people on an everyday basis, and encounter dozens of different fashion styles. Brussels is indeed characterized by different neighborhoods and cultures, which gives the city a great mix, and provides Snobe’s designers new inspiration every day. Melissa and Paris are always going forward and pushing their limits further. As their ambition grows, they are developing a professional brand that has a Couture approach. They bring great details to the garments they make, and use amazing leather, manufactured in Brussels, Liege, and Italy. Discover their recent collection on Story to Line, and stay tuned for more from Snobe. The brand is indeed going to be revealing its first ready-to-wear collection next winter.
